Product Information

Our Special Reserve Mead is a big, strong, complex honey wine.  The alcohol content is 16% and the mead is off-dry.  It is aged heavily in oak for a long period of time.  This is by far our longest aged mead!  We also use a significant percentage of buckwheat honey which is wonderfully unique.  This is like no other mead you've ever tasted!

We recommend the mead to be served at cellar temperature (around 50 to 60 degrees F).

If pairing this mead with food, bring out strong foods to stand up to this drink.  You've got to get medieval with our Reserve!  Very flavorful cheeses, smoked turkey legs, and hearty sausages are some recommendations.

We're very happy to report that the Reserve Mead won a bronze medal at the 2009 Mazer Cup - the largest commercial mead competition in the world!
